Liam Oberlander is a Professional Liability Broker with extensive experience in client service and risk placement. He spent three years as an Account Manager at Axis, where he worked closely with sales and account management teams to support clients' day-to-day service. He began as an account manager, working with various brokers and learning the craft as he built his experience and knowledge in a field most people wouldn’t be familiar with.
In 2026, Liam was promoted to a Broker role, where he now specializes in placing professional liability coverage for both public and private companies across the United States. Leveraging his deep insurance expertise, Liam excels at structuring tailored coverage solutions that align with each client’s unique needs.
Liam’s journey with Axis has been mentored by Mike Smith, President and CEO. Mike has shared his extensive knowledge to highlight the numerous niche insurance coverage aspects that help Liam and Axis provide the most comprehensive coverage for our clients’ needs.
Through hands-on guidance and real-world insight, Liam’s technical understanding of complex risk scenarios has strengthened, and the importance of truly listening to clients has been reinforced. Liam is a graduate of Iona University with a degree in International Studies. He is currently a member of the PLUS and PIA In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and motorsports events.
