Job Title: Staff Accountant
Supervisor: Justina Confer; VP of Finance, HR and Administration
Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:30 am – 5:00 pm in Franklin Lakes, NJ
Overview of Position:
This employee will serve as a staff accountant t for a growing Nationwide Retail and Wholesale Insurance Brokerage
firm. This position is an entry to mid-level accountant position in an accounting department of consisting of 3 people
plus a manager supporting approximately 50 employees and 4,000 clients currently. The candidate will be responsible
for items such as accounts receivable and payables including resolving discrepancies while working with employees,
vendors and banks ensuring the proper posting, payment and accounting of transactions. The successful candidate will
be responsible for posting payments and receipts to customer accounts, assisting in bank reconciliations and certain tax
filings. The successful candidate will be trained in the company processes and be expected to provide input into best
practices and efficiencies. This position will report to Justina Confer while working closely with other staff members.

Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or Insurance.
Experience in the insurance industry helpful but not necessary.
Certifications/Licenses:
The position requires a criminal background check.
Location and hours:
This position requires you to be based in the Franklin Lakes, New Jersey home office and/or partial remote
setting.

Salary and Compensation:
The salary is commensurate with experience but will pay between $50,000 and $70,000.
