On September 12th, 2024, Axis/PLRisk were happy to host an event to help raise funds for Autism Speaks prior to the New Jersey Walk-a-Thon On September 21st.
In case you are not familiar, Autism Speaks is a Non-Profit committed to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span for the needs of people with autism and their families. They have walks all across the country to raise both money and awareness. The annual North Jersey Walk for Autism Speaks will be at the Meadowlands Racetrack here in NJ which we’ll be sponsoring, walking, and volunteering.
As a lead up and final fundraising effort, we decided to host a Bowling event at Bowlero Fair Lawn, NJ. The venue is a higher end bowling alley here in Bergen County that’s committed to hosting the event. With this we were able to invite up to 50 people we work with from all across the insurance industry, from agents to carriers to our personal staff that wish to support our charitable efforts.
Before the event began, our fundraising efforts have already reached $23,000 that will go directly to the cause. After this event we will have raised more than $2000 in addition. Part of this was due to a gift basket raffle, entry fees, and any additional contributions made from the guests.
We want to show our appreciation to all those who joined us for this event. We would also like to give great thanks to those who helped sponsor the event including Navigators, ERisk, Professional Risk Facilities, and At-Bay.
